The Canonical Order of Chaplains is a community of Christians called to carry out the mission of Christ to those who are wrestling with life's pressures. They are a community focused on those who may have no spiritual home, or trapped by sickness, and disease. They seek out those lost in hopeless circumstances. They provide inspiration to those who have lost their vision and purpose. They show how service to God provides meaning for life. They are God's men and women for the moment of crisis. The Diocese of the Ascension is home to Vocational Chaplains (those who's paid vocation is that of a Chaplain). The CoC is a community of Chaplains (vocational and volunteer) who have taken vows to serve within a religious order communitiy for the purpose of mentoring, equipping, and organizing men and women for the ministry of chaplaincy.
